Report by Floyd Spangler

Fibers, wives, kids, and dogs were there, where were you?

Two fibers arrived on Wed. as an advanced scouting party.  Really, Dave (the salmon egg king) and Floyd just wanted more time to fish.  On Thursday, the Andrews Clan arrived with the whole family,  kids, grand kids and dogs.  By Fri. when the Kiechs arrived, the weather was in top form. The Fibers fished the river from Kernville power plant up to the Johnsondale bridge.  The upper part of the river held some nice size fish, probably Alpers.  The lower part of the river held planters of about 8-10 inches.  Dave Shill was the hot stick for the trip.  Fish were  taken on a variety of flies and baits. Everyone caught fish!!  All fish were released.  Friday evening we had an unbelievable pot luck dinner, with a temperature such that only a light jacket was necessary.  The star viewing was first rate.  Saturday morning, around 3:00 AM,  it clouded up and the wind began to blow. Fortunately, it rained for only 10 minutes.  By 10:00 in the morning the sun was starting to break through again.  A great time was had by all, with  wonderful fellowship.  God really blessed our time together!
