Walt V. 26.8 pounds. Komron won jackpot first day. Spent rest of the day looking for kelp paddies; hit 2 or 3 that were productive. Bait was better than artificial. Again, Mam, just the facts.
Second day stopped at 8:30 a.m. caught too many fish to count. Football size yellow fin, skipjack and medium sized dorado. Just the facts, Mam. Andrew won jackpot with yellow fin at 11.2 pounds. Rick Chalmers caught biggest yellow fin at 12.4, but was not in the jackpot. Weather: First day seas very calm, no wind. Second day winds (10 o 15 knots), choppy seas, rock and roll.
Total trip fish count: 12 yellow tail, 167 yellow fin, 61 skip jack, 51 Dorado.
Crew was very helpful and meals were adequate. Just the facts, Mam, just the facts. A great group of fellows to fish with.
