Report by Floyd Spangler

Fibers, boy did you miss a good bass trip. Adults you need to have a Jr. on the next trip. We had a light load with anchovies for bait. Captain Paul was running the Aggressor. He is really good with the Jrs, as are Phil and Brain too. We headed north to a rough bottom spot above the Huntington Beach Pier. The anchor was dropped in about 40 feet of water. As the chum hit the water bass started to boil. The Jrs started catching bass form the get go. We stayed anchored in one spot the whole time. We did catch a few mackerel, which the crew used for strip bait. The bass ate the strips really well. We were on fish the whole day. Besides bass, juniors caught Halibut and Trigger fish. The big calico was caught by Joe Cameron at 2lbs 9oz.

The big fish, two trigger fish that weighted exactly the same, 4lbs 3oz. Yes we did double check this. Luke Vander Yacht and Jack Cameron were the lucky anglers.

Burgers were in high demand on the way in. The weather was great. A good time was had by all.
